Early Musical Experience

Cameron Wood began playing the piano at 4 years old and fell in love with playing classical piano music at 13. Throughout her high school years, she attended summer classical piano camps at Stephen F. Austin University in Texas where she studied classical piano under esteemed faculty members. At 16, she began taking private piano lessons from Dr. Ian Altman at Mercer University. Cameron also developed an affinity for classic rock music in high school, which led her to begin taking electric guitar lessons from the Halls of Music’s very own Bobby Hall. She took private lessons from Bobby, as well as performing rock and original music in Bobby’s Rock Band class from age 15 until she graduated high school.
