Summer NAMM 2014
As many of our followers know, we had the pleasure of attending the Summer NAMM Show in Nashville last week, thanks to Emmett & Peggy Young at Young America Music School. They graciously sent us to the conference to represent their store! And boy, did we have a GREAT time!
We had the opportunity to play and test out so many different instruments, gear, and products. One of the highlights for Bobby was getting to play through a couple of boutique amplifiers made by Fuchs. He even got to meet Andy Fuchs, the owner and president of the company! Emily got to test out a collection of Sabian cymbals and found the perfect crash cymbal to add to her set!
The trip wasn’t all play – we attended several educational seminars, though even those were fun. We learned so much about how to build a better website, increase our social media presence, create engaging YouTube videos, and build our student base and lesson program – just to name a few! One of the speakers at the show opened his own music store back the 70s, which eventually grew into two different store locations with over 2,000 students per week, several group classes, and student showcase concerts every month. What an inspiration! Needless to say, we have a lot to think about and a ton of great advice to put into practice.
Expect to see many exciting things from us in the future! We can’t wait to see where our musical journey takes us!
In the meantime, check out our trip video!
